Summer Camp

On February 20-22nd, 25 English teachers from all over the country gathered in Villa Serrana, Lavalleja (Uruguay) to share three days of professional development. There was a summer camp sponsored by the American Embassy in Uruguay and Inspeccion de Ingles-CES. During the camp, the participants only spoke English and enjoyed different types of learning sessions. There were 4 academic sessions and several ludic sessions. The 4 academic sessions consisted of Mentoring by former US fellow Kelly Gardner, Teaching Labs by US researcher Heather Riley, Classroom observation by prof. Aldo Rodriguez and Mentoring by prof. Gabriel Diaz. The ludic sessions were led by Ibirapita Group. For those who wanted to access my presentation at the camp, here is the pdf version of it. Let_s dive into classroom observation16997850_10212161320366438_5169044232094799327_n

Experiencing English…a new text for adults

With the support of Inspeccion de Ingles-CES, prof. Aldo Rodriguez has authored three books called Experiencing English 1, 2 and 3. These books are a new tool adult learners have to learn English in a very contextualized, Uruguayan-friendly and adult-friendly format. The books condense different techniques and strategies to provide adult learners with more tools to learn English as a Foreign Language. Hope you enjoy them
